I guess I took a break. Everybody needs a break once in a while. Weather from last few weeks was so good I could not resist. I was mostly outdoor every chance I could get. Photography is one of my hobbies and I had not done much of it in last 6 months…(winter days). Though winter photography sounds exciting, I could not get passed the word ‘winter’ so left photography for much later. None the less I am there…..
I made some local trips…spent some money…that also supports local economy. One weekend I spent in NY watching auto show. You may have read many reviews on the net about this auto show. Here are my 2 cents.
First of all this auto show was less than impressive to begin with. You see this huge floor space taken over by failed auto companies GM, Chrysler, Ford. On top of that most of the floor space was filled by models from these 3 that you see on the road daily. How much fun is that ? I don’t know.
So I focused on exotic European cars and micro cars. Where else can you see Lamborghini, Ferrari , Alfa Romeo , Mercedes Mclaren. I have never been lucky to see these on the roads more than a few times in past 10 years. In an auto show one can get up close and watch them for as long one wants. That’s exactly what I did.
I saw many curious audience eager to learn about micro cars they were gathered around them like bees. My friends thought this was funny what I said and the way I said it…so here is the joke.
Micro cars might sell like hot cakes in America if they came with a diet plan.
yoohoo…!!

Then, one other weekend I visited a park in NJ with a friend of mine who is equally interested in photography as I am. So it was fun as we clicked pictures of NY city from NJ and took some very cool sunset snaps. Later I combined these individual many shots to make one big, huge panorama picture of NY city. It turned out to be a fun project. Photo is so huge in dimensions that it’s difficult to view the entire image on one screen.
But there is always a way to enjoy a good picture….this technology is cool. Check this out. Right click and download this zip file to a folder of your choice somewhere on your computer ( desktop..temp..somewhere) then un-zip it’s content.
Once that is done..open the folder where you un-zipped it. There would be a webpage named NYC_Panorama2.html.
Double click on this webpage (NYC_Panorama2.html) and enjoy the picture.

This functionality is so cool you can zoom in and move around left right up/down anywhere to watch this huge picture without loosing quality.
If you like this picture and want it for printing, as desktop background, or screen save..or for any other purpose. Then, please fill out the comment section or send me an email. I will work on creating that for you.
This zip file would not be here for a long time as it’s too big in size and I would not like to block the disk space for longer than I should…so enjoy it while it’s there.
This is just the beginning, I had to cancel a trip to Pensalvania else I could post more pictures from that trip. I still have few more to post..those are sunset pictures. Time permitting I will put my finishing touches on them and post them as well later….
