Like I said earlier best time to visit Lonavala and Khandala is rainy season and this proves it. See that cloud descending from the mountain towards the road and your car drives through it. There aren’t that many highways that can offer this view and experience….
Now let us turn back to Poona as I like to call it or Pune for those die hard fans. I still like to call it Bombay but people now a days call it Mumbai…it’s same city anyway…
This is restaurant picture from July 27th, not everyone was around for this picture…I was in terrible pain but had to pull along as I was trying to keep everyone else happy…..except me I guess everyone else does look happy in this picture.
Whole of Poona city is dug up..I don’t have pictures from whole city but this is enough to give you an idea. They have received 1000s of lakhs or Carores of rupees from the govt. as they are one of the host city for common wealth games to widen the roads and that money is at work…full speed.
Here is a house that is under construction, was supposed to be ready in August (this month) but does it look like it’s ready ? thanks to Mr. Thackre..north indian labours have left the town…
Here is outside view from this house’s balcony…again you can see mountain and green as far as eyes can see. I like these earthly elements….also as you can see construction is everywhere and construnction sheds are all over the place this area is running heavy devleopment projects. Area you see open and green is all sold out plot markings are visible. It’s only a matter of time before people come forward and start construction on their plots.
Here is view from top of my roof…this complex will have about 90 town houses. We (me and family) own about 12 or more of these and mostly owned by NRIs or computer professionals only.
Here is another view from the roof..those large openings are actually going to be galss walls so plenty of light…

Thanks Vinay, for taking the time to write up such an interesting article, now I’m more eager to visit India soon (4 years since last visit) and soak up the fun.
Thanks for giving me somethings to dream about, best thing one can do. Have a safe flight back.
